ETHICS OF GEOENGINEERING
As the planet warms, controversial schemes for its artificial cooling are gaining greater prominence. However, major scientific questions remain on the efficacy of such approaches, alongside major ethical questions on the decision-making and potential beneficiaries. The Centre for Changing Climates, alongside CEPPA, brought together expertise in climate science and ethics to address this topical issue, with presentations by GFC steering group member Prof Andrea Burke and visiting Professor Stephen Gardiner, and a follow-up discussion.
