UK NATIONAL CLIMATE DYNAMICS WORKSHOP
St Andrews will host the 12th UK National Climate Dynamics Workshop in summer 2027. All aspects of climate dynamics are covered, including theory, modelling and observational studies of global and regional atmospheric and ocean dynamics, climate variability, near-term climate prediction and long-term climate change.
EUCLIDYAN (EUROPEAN-MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE DYNAMICS ACTION NETWORK)
Researchers from across Europe will attend to present new research on climate dynamics and build connections across groups working on similar topics.
SCOTLAND CLIMATE SCIENCE NETWORK WORKSHOP
The event will build on last years’ successful event bringing together climate scientists working across Scottish institutes (and those working within Scotland). We welcome abstracts on all aspects of climate dynamics.
ST ANDREWS INDUSTRY COLLABORATION DAY
The University of St Andrews is bringing together academics, researchers and partners to share expertise, research and facilities with businesses ranging from SMEs to multinational organisations with an interest in the Circular Economy.
PROJECT BRAINSTORMING
Join colleagues from across the Changing Climates GRC to brainstorm student project plans. Our aim is to catalyse new collaborations through MSt and MSc by Research projects - and/or BScs and PhDs - for advertisement in this application cycle. Further discussions and networking to continue with a drinks reception.
WHAT IS EFFECTIVE IN MOVING PARLIAMENT TO END GLOBAL HEATING?
Ludi Simpson is in his seventies with a professional career behind him, latterly as Professor of Population Studies at the University of Manchester.
He has been arrested multiple times after actions organised by Just Stop Oil, including for throwing soup at Van Gogh's Sunflowers in the National Gallery. He says that he has caused minor disruption in order to draw attention to the harm to every living thing caused daily by fossil fuel corporations and the politicians they have bought.
